Terms of Service

HKWealthWise is an analytics tool, not an adviser or a broker. It helps you review and analyze your own past trades. It does not give investment advice or recommendations, does not tell you what to buy or sell, does not execute trades, and never holds or moves your money.

1. What HKWealthWise is

HKWealthWise ("the Service") is a personal trading journal and edge-analytics tool. You log your own trades and the Service computes statistics, charts, and plain-English observations about your historical trading and behaviour. The Service is for educational and self-review purposes only.

2. Not financial advice; no regulated activity

Nothing in the Service is, or should be relied on as, financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation or offer to buy or sell any security or financial instrument. The Service does not carry on any regulated activity and is not licensed or registered with the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), or any other regulator. Any AI-generated commentary is an educational analysis of your own past trades only and is subject to the same limitation. You are solely responsible for your own trading and investment decisions. Past performance does not indicate future results.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to breach security or access other users' data, no reverse engineering except as permitted by law, no resale of the Service, and no uploading of content you have no right to use.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

The Service offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription. Paid plans are billed through our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Prices may change with reasonable notice.

6. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the trade data you enter. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service to you. You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including hosting/database providers, our payment processor, and — only if you enable AI analysis — an AI model provider. Imported brokerage statements are read-only; the Service never connects to your broker to trade. Your use of those third-party services may be subject to their own terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that the analytics, figures, or AI commentary are error-free or complete, or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HKWealthWise and its operator will not be liable for any trading or investment losses, or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Service. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or HKD 1,000. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HKWealthWise and its operator from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms or the Service from time to time; material changes will be notified through the Service or by email, and continued use means acceptance. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You may stop using and delete your account at any time.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
