Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data HKWealthWise ("we") collects, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO). If you are in a jurisdiction with additional rights, those apply to the extent required by law.

1. What we collect

Account data — your email address, an optional display name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). Trading data you enter — the trades, accounts, price marks, watchlist items, and notes you choose to log. Billing data — handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we receive your plan and subscription status but do not store your full card number. Basic technical data — minimal logs needed to run and secure the Service.

2. How we use it

We use your data only to provide the Service to you: to authenticate you, to compute your analytics and charts, to manage your subscription, and to keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your trade data to advertise to you.

3. AI analysis (optional)

If you choose to run the AI analysis feature, a summary of your own trading statistics is sent to our AI model provider (Anthropic) to generate the analysis and returned to you. It is not used to train models on your data per that provider's API terms. If you do not use the feature, no data is sent.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that run the product on our behalf, under their own data-protection terms: our hosting and database provider, our payment processor (Stripe), and — only when you use AI analysis — our AI model provider. We may disclose data where required by law.

5. Where your data is held

Our infrastructure providers may process and store data on servers outside Hong Kong. Where data is transferred, we rely on these providers' standard safeguards.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and trading data are removed promptly (subject to short-lived backups and any records we must retain by law).

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Use Settings → Data & privacy to download a full export of your data or to permanently delete your account, or contact us. Under the PDPO you have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data.

8. Security

We protect your data with measures including encrypted transport, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

9. Cookies

We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes and contact
